So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live. Numbers 21:9

“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob

I will make you as a light for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” Isaiah 49:6
For my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples
a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to your people Israel. Luke 2:30-32
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

That the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles. Acts 26:23

Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,

and was numbered with the transgressors;

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10
Who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Fathe. Galatians 1:4
Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. Isaiah 61:1
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:31-36
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5
